Support Services for Filipino Domestic Helpers

You may already be an Arrow helper, or perhaps you are considering being one. Here are some programs and services at Arrow to help you, as well as some tips and guidelines.

Pre-deployment Training

Our Care begins before you arrive in HK. Every helper deployed through the Standard Overseas Package attends 4 days of training in Laguna, paid for by the employer. Here you’ll learn, Chinese cooking, babycare HK style, learn about HK culture and employer/employee relationships, and much more.

At Arrow, our goal is to help you find and keep a good job. Working as a domestic helper in Hong Kong is extremely challenging. You'll most likely be living in a small home with a Chinese family whose language and culture are completely different from your own. The challenges of caring for a family you are unfamiliar with along with food you aren't used to, and communication difficulties, (such as grandparents who don't speak a word of English), may feel overwhelming. These are the types of things that result in early resignation or termination. For that reason we have developed a support system to help you successfully adjust to life and work in Hong Kong. We want you to reach your dreams and we hope you'll let us help you through the adjustment period.
