How it works

Here is how it works. Choose the option that works best for you.

Option 1: You Really Need Our Help and Advice

Start by telling us about your family, your experience with helpers so far, and what tasks you need assistance with. This way, we can carefully understand your unique needs and introduce you to applicants who best fit your criteria. We’ll arrange interviews for you and can even assist during the interview process to ensure you find the right match. From there, we guide you through every step — from paperwork to arrival — making the whole process smooth and stress-free. Contact us to get started or send us a what’sapp.

Option 2: You Prefer to Browse and Choose Yourself

If you want to take the lead, begin by browsing our detailed helper profiles on the Browse Helpers page. When you find applicants you like, let us know and we’ll set up interviews for you. We’re here to support you throughout, helping with interview arrangements, documentation, and everything needed to welcome your new helper.

Option 3: You Already Have a Helper and Need Assistance

If you already have a helper in mind and just need help with the administrative side, we offer two options:

  • Local Helper: We assist with all paperwork, medical checks, contract signing, and government procedures to get your helper legally employed in Hong Kong.

  • Overseas Direct Hire: If you want to hire a helper directly from overseas, we manage the entire process — from screening and medicals in the helper’s home country to visa applications and arrival support in Hong Kong. Learn More

In both cases, we ensure all legal and procedural requirements are met smoothly so you can focus on welcoming your helper.

How it works

+ Careful Screening of Applicants

Every week we conduct interviews with applicants wanting to work in Hong Kong. We are actively looking for those who we believe can successfully adapt to life in Hong Kong, serve your family well and finish their contracts.

Qualities we are looking for: Character - Honest, caring, and not a quitter Competency - Can do the job and learn to meet the employer's expectations within 3 months Communication - Competent in English and good listening and communication skills

In addition to the above, we also look for applicants with a history of finished contracts overseas, who have experience in caring for newborn babies, children, elderly, pets, and people with special needs.

+ Applicant Preparation

Applicants who pass their interviews are then asked to report to one of our partner agencies in the Philippines where they sign contracts and Immigration forms and undergo a medical to show they are fit to work.

+ Employer Education

Arrow Employer Orientation is an optional 2-hour workshop where customers learn how to manage a worker from a Philippines cultural background. Customers who attend the workshop have far fewer difficulties with their helpers and a much lower resignation rate than those who don't attend. We highly recommend this seminar for first time employers or employers who have had difficulty in keeping a helper.

+ Training and Follow-up Classes for Helpers

Overseas Standard Package applicants attend a 4 day training in the Philippines before coming to HK. They learn Chinese cooking and are briefed on expectations of employers, worklife in HK, etc. After arrival, Arrow ladies are encouraged to attend our 4-week New Arrival Course . In the "Tagumpay" classes, they learn how to cope with home sickness, culture shock, negative emotions like self pity and we also start them planning a budget. The support and encouragement they receive in the first few months will help them adjust and not give up. Arrow ladies are regularly invited to seminars covering a large range of topics from managing money to maintaining strong families, etc.

+ Follow-up Services for Employers and Helpers

Our New Employer Orientation lays the foundation for a good relationship with your helper, but when you have difficulty our customers can call us and we will do our best to help them work through the problem, including face to face conflict resolution conferences.
